Mood: Pleasantly chilled!
19th February 2006
Windsurfing: Ythan Estuary, Aberdeen
Wind Direction: NE
Wind Stength: 12-17mph
Surf / Sea State: Flat
Air Temperature: Freezing
Sea Temperature: Chilly
Weather: OK
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

The wind looked reasonable from home, so went to check out the conditions on the estuary (5 minute walk). Wind was hovering around the 13-14mph which is just about enough to get planing on my big kit, and as Andy was going out anyway, I decided to go for it too. Rob turned up about 5 minutes after I had started rigging, so there would at least be a few of us out. Was wallowing much of the time, but did get a few decent blasts in the straps, although the wind was up and down all the time. Decided to call it a day after about an hour or so as the wind was continually falling, and it was absolutely freezing. Better than not going out at all, but only just.
